Best Senior Golf Clubs
1. Tour Edge Bazooka 360 Senior
The Tour Edge Bazooka 360 is our editor’s choice for golf clubs for seniors.
This set is specifically designed for senior golfers with the woods having more loft and all of the shafts being senior flex. The driver, fairway woods and hybrid are all oversized and feature very low CG and high MOI to launch the ball higher and straighter at impact and to be as forgiving as possible.
The irons and wedges are traditional lofts. They are also oversized clubheads with deep undercut cavities behind the clubface. This again lowers the CG and increases the perimeter weighting for more distance, launch and forgiveness.
The set also includes a premium cart bag with rain cover.

2. Callaway Strata 16 Piece Set
Callaway is a classic golf brand that delivers value for old and young, pro and amateur, the world over.
The Strata set is designed specifically for beginner golfers, but is equally good for seniors. The set features very easy-to-hit clubs with an adjustable 460cc driver, oversized woods and irons and regular flex graphite shafts throughout the set.
The driver has less loft than many other senior drivers, but still launches high with optimum spin thanks to the very low and deep CG and high MOI design.
The oversize woods and hybrid all have shallow profiles to make them easy to hit from any lie. The irons have wide soles and deep undercut cavities to push weight lower and further away from the face for an increased MOI.

3. Cobra F-MAX set
This is a combination of all of the F-MAX clubs in a complete set and is said to be Cobra Golf’s most forgiving clubs to date. The senior set features offset woods and irons with draw weighting to promote a straighter ball flight. The shafts are all premium senior flex.
The irons feature a progressive design where the longer irons are designed to launch the ball higher and straighter while the shorter scoring irons are softer at impact and more geared towards precision and accuracy.
All of the clubs have midsize grips for added comfort. The set doesn’t include a gap wedge, but it can be purchased separately.

The woods are designed and manufactured using many different materials. This optimises the feel and performance through a lower and deeper CG and high MOI. The blend of these two attributes means longer and straighter shots. They all have headcovers included too.

Buyers Guide for Senior Golf Clubs
Design and feel
Seniors will generally tend to not hit the ball as far as younger golfers and therefore require golf clubs that will increase distance for them. This means using harder materials to increase ballspeed at impact. Packaged sets for seniors are mostly constructed using stainless steel and sometimes titanium as it makes the set more affordable and is long-lasting and easy to maintain.
Ease of use
Packaged sets for seniors will generally be designed with two aspects in mind, distance and forgiveness. As such, the woods generally have more loft and offset with very lightweight and soft graphite shafts. This helps to launch the ball higher from impact with a bit more kick in order to increase speed.
The irons and wedges will generally also have graphite shafts and are oversized clubheads with plenty of chunkiness and offset to provide more forgiveness on mishits and more time to square the clubface at impact.
Value for money
Obviously when looking at buying a packaged set of golf clubs you are considering price as one of the biggest considerations. Packaged sets are often more affordable overall than buying different clubs in the bag individually and include a golf bag too. Some brands will charge more for a packaged set, but in these instances the clubs in the set will be very similar if not the same as the individual clubs offered by the brand.

do seniors sets come in long/tall. i am 6’1 and like the feel of longer clubs
Hi Ross, unfortunately senior sets only come in a standard length option, but if necessary (and if the shafts are steel of course – which is unlikely if they are senior clubs), you can have the shafts lengthened by a club fitter or by your course pro. Alternatively I suggest going for the Cobra Fly-Z 11 piece set or the 13 piece set. These are a great set of clubs that will last you a number of years.
is the cobra fly z 11 piece or 13 piece set longer
