Nike Vapor Fly Driver
Our Assessment
An electric blue offering from Nike that has resulted in explosive distance with limited distance variation between center strikes and mis-hits. Huge forgiveness and an adjustable launch condition offering that is easy and effective.
The Nike Vapor Fly Driver is certainly going to be seen a lot more than it's predecessors. We were really impressed with the solid feedback and superb sound at impact. At a RRP of $350.00, the Nike Vapor Fly is great value for money. it’s as simple as that.

Nike Vapor Fly Detailed Review
Design & Appearance
An appealing bold colorful appearance that will undoubtedly catch the eye of any passer-by at your local golf club. A bright blue crown and sole of the club with a minor splash of lime green, which also represents the Nike swoosh on the heel side of the crown.
A very deep club-head that has a fairly large cavity cut away in the center of the club-head moving the COG slightly closer to the face of the club-head. All in all a striking and unique design that we like, but understand some golfers might hate!

Build Quality
The channel behind the face on the sole of the club (Flybeam structure) is fairly large although smaller than the previous model. This channel is flanked by two ‘rails’ that supposedly help the forgiveness and this also aids the drag on particularly the downswing.
We found that the exceptionally light crown of the club-head aided the increase in club-head speed and subsequently added distance. The channel also stabilizes the head through impact allowing for more consistency in terms of both strike and shot shape.
Control / Feel
Solid feel and feedback through impact, to be honest one of the better sounding clubs we’ve tested having a ‘crack’ upon impact. Even when striking it off center the feel is still solid enough to not lose a whole lot of distance.
We all know that feeling of anxiety when standing over a driver and playing with 3 long hitters in your group. You SOOO badly want to strike it pure! But not often it happens. Well the Vapor Fly is going to help you minimize the distance loss that’s for sure!

Performance
The Flexloft 2 offers 15 difference launch conditions, which is always a plus to a keen golfer. Outstanding distance variation, having tested this club with 32 shots the total loss of distance between the 8 best struck shots and the 8 worst struck shots was a average total of 11.2 yards, which is phenomenal. Although a slightly different test, still just a nose ahead of the Cobra King F6.
Reasonable launch angle with adequate spin provides a powerful ball flight and a healthy carry distance.
One thing we found upon testing is that it is better to miss the strike slightly higher up on club-face rather than low down so perhaps tee it up slightly higher at address.

Value for Money
We’ll be surprised if you don’t see a whole lot more Nike Vapor Fly Drivers around in time to come. (**Update – With Nike removing themselves from the equipment industry, that doesn’t mean you’re not going to see any of their equipment anymore. You’re likely going to get great deals on any of their equipment and now is probably the best time you could ever have purchased a piece of Nike golf equipment).
A quality offering at a value for money price that will keep you coming back for more and more. Cheaper than a few legitimate competitors whilst providing more plus points. Fantastic distance as well as the forgiveness desired by low to high handicappers.
Awesome club,” FEEL” and forgiveness are no.1 asset. Distance is an eye opening surprise. The look ,ah, certainly inspires a confident strike.
